Hans Lute - CEO Dutch Caribbean12
 
 Hans Lute brings more than 15 years of  Mobile Telecommunications leadership and expertise to Digicel. Prior to Digicel’s acquisition of Curacao Telecom (CT) in March 2005, and his appointment as Digicel’s CEO of CT, he has been leading CT as General Manager since 1999. Since 1990, he has been Commercial and Technical Manager of Polycom Radio Communications Inc., a privately owned company in the ‘Dutch Caribbean’ island of Curacao (Netherlands Antilles), specialized in Cellular, Paging, Two-Way and Trunking Radio Services. In 1998, Polycom became a ‘monopoly breaker’ when it acquired a license to operate a Cellular Network in Curacao and founded Curacao Telecom (CT) for this purpose. CT deployed its first Mobile (TDMA) Cellular Network in 1999, and successfully established itself as an innovative, reliable and sound player in the Netherlands Antilles Telecommunications Market. CT acquired a license for international telephony in 2000 and expanded its mobile services with a full fledged GSM network in 2002. In addition, CT acquired a license to operate a cellular network in Aruba in 2003. From 1983 to 1990 Hans has served in the Dutch Navy where he specialized in Radio Communications and Operations on board of various Mine-Hunters and Ocean Survey vessels. His first introduction to the Netherlands Antilles was in 1986 when he was stationed in the Dutch Naval Base in Curacao. He has strong commercial, entrepreneurial, technical and leadership skills. Hans’s interests include Scuba Diving, Swimming, Traveling, and dining out.   

Alvin Korkie - Chief Commercial Officer Dutch Caribbean
 
Alvin joined Digicel in 2007 as Chief Commercial Officer Dutch Caribbean. Alvin completed his studies in South Africa and has been working abroad for almost 12 years. Alvin has  more than 18 years business experience, 13 of these in a senior management role in the telecommunications industry. He has worked for a number of large international corporations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Central America & the Caribbean (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Cyprus, UK, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, Dubai, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Aruba, Bonaire & Curacao). Over the last 13 years Alvin has been involved in a number of start ups, 4 mobile (GSM) network & SP (service provider)  as well as a WCDMA Greenfield operations in Africa & the Middle East.
Bert Schreuders General Manager Aruba

Bert Schreuders joined Digicel in October 2002 as IT manager in Aruba where he was part of the original launch team. After proven his commitment to the Digicel cause, He was appointed as Head of Customer Care Of Digicel Dutch Caribbean and played substantial role in the Integration of Curacao Telecom into Digicel Curacao in 2005.
In 2006 he was as General Manager of Digicel Bonaire responsible of launching its operations in a record 100 days and part of a successful acquisition of the Mobile license of TELBO and migration of its customers in 2007/2008.  After a short period as GM of Digicel Guadeloupe in 2009, Bert returned In July to his Digicel cradle in Aruba after he was appointed as General Manager of the Digicel operation in Aruba.


Nelson Pereira - CTO Digicel Dutch Caribbean

Nelson Pereira was appointed CTO Digicel Dutch Caribbean (DC) in March 2005.

Prior to Digicel’s acquisition of Curacao Telecom (CT) in March 2005, and his appointment as CTO Digicel’s DC, he has been leading  the technical operations of CT as Technical Manager since December 2001. Previous to his Technical Manager assignment he performed  as Core network engineer for a period of 2 year.

 In his capacity as CTO, Nelson brings coherence in the Technical and IT approach, innovative Telco-grade services and solutions to the end-user, efficient applications to the internal clients, optimizing time and costs as well as raising revenues.

 Nelson has been instrumental in making Curacao Telecom the first to market GSM and GSM roaming services on Curacao. He leaded the design, development and rollout of products and technologies for Curacao Telecom’s services and networks, which has been later acquired by Digicel.

 Nelson has over 10 years of Telecommunications experience and holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering and a Master degree in Business Administration in General Management.
