Digicel Postpaid Roaming
You're abroad and you're looking for an easy way to keep in touch with everyone - Digicel gives you a great option. You can use your Digicel mobile to send and receive calls and text messages while traveling outside of Aruba
Now home is just a call away!
All Digicel phones are dual band, so you can use them throughout Europe. In the USA, Canada and some other countries that use 1900 mhz band of GSM, however, you need a tri-band or a world phone.
How it works
- Before you are ready to travel, you will need to increase your minimum deposit to Afl 225. To do this, simply visit your nearest payment point and increase your deposit. Then ring into Customer Care who will change your profile to include roaming. Once you have done this, you are then ready to roam*. Before you leave the country, remember to follow these 2 easy steps:
- Find the Network Selection setting in your Digicel mobile phone menu, and select "AUTOMATIC' before you go to the airport.
- When you have reached your destination, turn on your phone and allow it to update and locate to Digicel's partner network in that country.
- There are some handsets that you will need to select the network manually. To do this, go to Menu, Network Selection, Change Band, Change to 1900, press ok. However, if you are traveling to a 900 mhz or an 1800 mhz GSM market, eg. Europe, you can follow steps 1 & 2 above.
- You are now ready to make and receive calls using your Digicel mobile phone.
- Remember, we are always adding new International Roaming Partners so it's wise to ring Customer Care before you travel or check the Digicel website.
